 More than 300 motorists were caught speeding during a police crackdown on reckless drivers on West Midlands motorways. 
 
Officers from the Central Motorway Police Group have carried out a month-long operation to halt those who put lives at risk on our region’s major routes.

We’re investigating after a man was shot at a house in Sheldon last night (Friday).

It is believed the gunman forced his way into the property on Downsfield Road before firing at the victim, aged 28, at around 10.30pm.

We've tonight charged a man with trying to kill a woman and her seven-month-old baby in Tipton.

We were called to a property on Mansion Drive, in Tipton, just before 12.30am yesterday (Thursday) to reports of a domestic incident.

A Birmingham man has been charged with the death of a toddler in November 2017.
 
The 21-month-old girl was found with a head injury at an address in The Green, Northfield on 19 November 2017 and died two days later in hospital.

A suspected drink driver who dangerously hit speeds of up to 80mph in the dark without headlights on has been jailed.

We've charged a 42-year-old woman after the contents of a charity box were stolen at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham's Cancer Centre.

It is alleged that approximately £400 was inside the box when the lid was forced open and it was emptied at about 10pm on Wednesday 20 May.

Stanislavas Jurgo struck the 56-year-old man as he was crossing Dudley Street at just after midnight on 22 September last year.

Earlier this morning (21 May) officers from Dudley raided two addresses on Spring Meadow Road, Netherton under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Many items were found inside a shed at the back of the two properties including an electroshock weapon, knuckle dusters, a machete and pepper spray.
