Arrest after man seriously injured in hit and run
We’ve arrested a man in connection with a collision on Stratford Road in Sparkbrook which left a man seriously injured.
A 69-year-old man was struck by a car on Saturday morning (26 June) and suffered life-threatening injuries. He remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Investigation following fatal collision in West Bromwich
We are investigating after a man died in a collision on Birmingham Road, West Bromwich, shortly before 9pm yesterday (27 June).
Officers on patrol came across the collision between a motorbike and a car, where the motorcyclist had suffered serious injuries.

A former staff member of West Midlands Police has been convicted of conspiring to supply Class B drugs while she was off duty.
Cherelle Ying, aged 35 from Birmingham, was found guilty yesterday (24 June) at Birmingham Crown Court and was sentenced to 17 months suspended for 21 months.
Ying had been employed by the force since March 2008 and was based at Nechells police station.

A rapist has been convicted of three attacks on women at a supported accommodation facility for vulnerable adults in Birmingham.
Tabana Ngoni launched his first assault on 9 September last year. He went into the room of a woman in her late teens, waking her up and exposing himself.

Musa Muhammad, from Dunsink Road, Witton, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today (24 June).
Man arrested after car driven into pub crowd
We’ve arrested a man on suspicion of wounding after it’s alleged he deliberately drove at a group of people on a pub patio.
He surrendered to a police station at 10.30am today following the incident at the Gigmill pub in South Road, Stourbridge, last Friday night (18 June).
