Investigation after man found outside Bloxwich pub with head injuries

Police are investigating after a man was found with serious head injuries outside a Bloxwich pub last night.

Officers were called to The Prince of Wales Pub in High Street just after 11pm on Saturday 16 September.

A 29-year-old man was found lying outside the premises and was taken to hospital, where he is currently in a critical but stable condition.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding  in connection with the incident, and is currently helping police with their enquiries.

Detective sergeant Matt Slattery from Force CID said: “The investigation is on-going and my officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and who may have seen what happened last night, or who has any  information to get in contact.”

Anyone who can help should call police on 101 or they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
