Investigation launched after man found with fatal injuries in Bristol Road South

We’re investigating after a man was found with fatal injuries in Bristol Road South, Northfield just after 5am this morning (23 July).

The 44-year-old was treated by paramedics but sadly died at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

We’re working hard to establish exactly what happened and how the man came to be injured in the road.

Our collision investigation team, supported by local officers, are speaking to people in the area, and are examining CCTV footage and other evidence. A forensic post-mortem will be carried out to confirm exactly how the man died.

Bristol Road South remains closed at the junction of Bodenham Road and Chelston Road.
